Length: 97 minutes Genres: physchological ~ horror ~ drama ~ thriller ~ mystery-suspense
Summary:
A father and daughter are on their way to dance camp when they spot the girl's best friend on the side of the road; when they stop to offer the friend a ride, their good intentions soon result in terrible consequences.
Plot Twist?
Brittany is alive!! They set it all up so she could see her boyfriend without her parents being up her ass…guess they’ll never be now
Ending:
Rebecca runs over Brittany's father with her car. While Jay and Rebecca are washing Sam’s blood off of the front of their SUV, Brittany casually appears in the garage, perfectly alive and well. “We totally didn’t mean for it to go on this long,” Britanny says. “I just wanted to see my boyfriend. Kayla just kind of went along with it.” Kayla’s justification for lying to her parents about something this huge? She says she was going to fess up, but then she saw that this whole ordeal brought her parents together in a way she hadn’t seen before the divorce. “I just needed time for you to choose each other,” says Kayla. Weird parent trap! In the very final shot of The Lie, Kayla is hugging her parents while the doorbell rings. We hear sirens outside, and we assume the police are here to arrest Kayla’s parents.
Notes - Thoughts
I was definitely expecting a plot twist but not this! This was creative and broken down throughout each character. It was such a different and gripping plot.
Rating: Loved <3
How far their daughter took the lie is almost the same breach of how far the parents went to protect her. Very captivating way of suspense to grab it all.
