Length: 105 minutes Genres: horror ~ comedy
Summary: A U.S. podcaster ventures into the Canadian wilderness to interview an old man who has an extraordinary past, and the American learns the man has a dark secret involving a walrus.
Plot Twist?
This guy ad was a lie, his stories were all lies, he truly was just a mad man that got lost at sea found a walrus that became his best friend yet ended up eating to help survive. So now he's trying to recreate his lost best friend walrus and isn't first attempt either.
Ending:
His friends make it there and rescue him...sort of. He gets moved to a zoo where they can visit him and live out his new normal?
Notes - Thoughts
This was more of an unsettling type of horror. very old original classic, the suit itself just disturbing to look at and when he would whimper crying out my god it hurts your heart remembering it's human in there but same time just sounds so eery to the ears.
- Tusk is based on a fake online ad that offered a rent-free room but required the tenant to dress up and behave like a walrus occasionally.
- The movie explores what would happen if the joke ad were real, but the characters and storyline are fictional.
