Summary: A creative writing assignment yields complex results between a teacher and his talented student.
Plot Twist?
Miller ends up dusting off his writer's block and literally beginning a new chapter. He has been tormented by the ordeal but mines it as inspiration. Cairo was his physical muse, and now, inadvertently, she has become his creative one. It's not quite the punishment many viewers might have thought Miller would receive.
Ending:
Instead, the film ends on a rather disturbing, yet very realistic, note. Miller has been suspended, but he does not know if he will be fired. Cairo and Miller go in front of the school board, and from Cairo's subtle smile, it seems like she gets what she wants: to feel seen by others.
Notes - Thoughts
Was little bland in some parts, to some viewers might feel weird with their age gap or even just certain exchanges between the two. These sadly happen in daily lives though, wether brought up from the teacher or the student. Little bit of raunchy romance if into teacher/student role.
