Summary: When his daughter, Angela, and her friend Katherine, show signs of demonic possession, it unleashes a chain of events that forces single father Victor Fielding to confront the nadir of evil. Terrified and desperate, he seeks out Chris MacNeil, the only person alive who's witnessed anything like it before.
Plot Twist?
The demonic Angela reveals Victor told doctors to save his pregnant wife over his unborn child 13 years earlier. He refuses to pick between the kids, but Katherine's father (Norbert Leo Butz) chooses his own child. However, in a twist, the demon kills Katherine and Angela lives.
Ending:
Katherine awakens in another yell and screams out for her parents, revealing that the demon had used the choice ambivalently, and that the girl whose parents chose her would not live but die. Katherine is dragged away to hell, even as back at the exorcism site, Angela starts breathing again.
Notes - Thoughts
Wish the scare factor was little more effort put into it, the flow of the movie felt like couldve used for of it with everything that was going on. Otherwise was good story line and had the nice ties to orginal movies and storylines from long ago.
