Length: 113 minutes Genres: Sci-Fi - Horror - Action-Adventure
Summary:Previously thought to be extinct, a massive creature attacks a deep-sea submersible, leaving it disabled and trapping the crew at the bottom of the Pacific. With time running out, a visionary oceanographer recruits rescue diver Jonas Taylor to save the crew and the sea itself from an unimaginable threat -- a 75-foot-long prehistoric shark known as the Megalodon.
Plot Twist?
Midway point, revealing that there are not one, but two Megs on the loose. This is discovered after the team sets a trap for the megalodon, which involves Suyin going underwater in a shark-proof tank with some poison.
Ending:
Jonas seals the deal by ramming the spear deep into the Meg's eye, which appears to seal the deal. However, the blood from its injuries attracts a swarm of regular sharks, who feast on the wounded creature as Jonas swims to safety and rejoins the crew.
Notes - Thoughts
Going into this i'm already not a fan of sharks and scared of them anytime near the ocean. This Megaldon shark is massive and did not come to play. The ocean hasn't nearly been discovered enough to know what is even down there, so it's possible we actually have our own meg swimming around. Intensity was used great throughout, actors were great in portraying there elements and even giving the science behind it all was interesting to see.
