Summary: Forced into early retirement by a degenerative illness, former baseball player Ray Waller moves into a new house with his wife and two children. He hopes that the backyard swimming pool will be fun for the kids and provide physical therapy for himself. However, a dark secret from the home's past soon unleashes a malevolent force that drags the family into the depths of inescapable terror.

the pool was actually powered by an ancient entity that grants your deepish wish but demands a sacrifice in return.
Ending:
Ultimately, Eve and Izzy are able to get Ray to come to his senses, and in order to close the loop of the wish, he sacrifices himself to the water, freeing his family of the curse.
Notes - Thoughts
The scarefactor could've been better, felt like we got more of the creeps from the trailer than the full movie itself. With that being said, it still had decent story line and interesting take to the water monster. Thought was gonna be played off more of childhood fear of the deep end in the pool but guess this close enough for now.
